Fixed Term for 2 years in the first instance

The Institute of Inner-City Learning (IICL) seeks to appoint an Hourly Paid Lecturerin Public Health & Social Care at its London Campus (LC) . The primary delivery mode is face-to-face on campus.
-THE function-
The post holder will be required to devise a range of teaching and assessment materials, covering some or any subject areas within Public Health in Social Care, including Social Epidemiology, Public Health Development, Health Care Systems Organisation and leadership abilities, Community Care and Long-Term Management, Partnership Working and Integrated Service Integration, and Quality Assurance and Service Improvement. They will be required to lead on modules.
Main tasks will include:
   » Deliver teaching, learning and assessments, as well as provide support to students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level of study, either individually or as a member of a teaching team.
   » Deliver teaching and learning strategies in a variety of contexts, such as, online or blended learning teaching and learning, seminar and small group tutorials to large-group lectures, workshops and/or placements, using appropriate and engaging teaching and learning styles, within an established programme of study.
   » Be involved in the design and development of high-quality teaching and learning material, sharing information/material on the University's Virtual Learning Environment, develop strategies for formative and summative assessments, and develop assessment criteria, following the significant quality assurance requirements.
   » Supervise the work of students in a timely, professional and supportive manner, providing necessary advice on study expertise, research methods, assessment and dissertation work.
   » Offer appropriate advice, feedback, support, and encouragement to students, in both an academic and personal tutor function, to ensure a high-quality student practice.

- REQUIREMENTS -
You should also have:
   » Master's degree in a significant discipline
   » practice in teaching, delivery, assessment and student support at undergraduate and postgraduate level in significant subject areas of Public Health and Social Care.
   » practice in the design, development and delivery of module content for Public Health and Social Care (e.g., Social Epidemiology, Public Health Development, Health Care Systems Organisation and leadership abilities, Community Care and Long-Term Management, Partnership Working and Integrated Service Integration, and Quality Assurance and Service Improvement)
   » Evidence of good organisational and personal management expertise
   » Evidence of excellent interpersonal and communication expertise with the capability to work collaboratively
   » practice of supervising postgraduate and research students
   » practice of leading modules in Public Health and Social Care
