Offer: Partnerships and Programmes Manager:Job description:Job location: London, Hybrid Location / Campus: South Kensington Campus - Hybrid Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join Imperial College London's Global Development Hub to support academic community-building and external partnerships in aglobal development context. The function will support the fostering of new partnerships and opportunities with a wide variety of stakeholders, including in civil society, universities, industry and academia. You will use academic community-building as a springboard to support the building of equitable partnerships between Imperial College London researchers and significant organisations working in a development-context (e.g academic institutions in Lower Middle earnings Countries, NGOs, Multi-Lateral Organisations such as United Nations entities). You will support initiatives that position the College as a thought leader in the development sphere and amplify and complement forums, strategic initiatives and networks at Imperial that bring together government/policymakers, academia and industry to tackle development challenges (e.g-Transition to Zero Pollution, Institute for Global Health Innovation, Grantham Institute for Climate Change, Energy Futures Lab). tasks and responsibilities » Support the building of partnerships between College researchers, non-academic collaborators and partners in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Lower Middle earnings Countries (LMICs) to build equitable partnerships that secure real world impact through context-appropriate solutions; » Build and maintain internal and external networks of researchers focused on STEM impact on development challenges; » Organising a ?STEM in Development' lecture with high profile speakers to raise consciousness of the Hub and foster new external relationships; » Coordinate emerging Global Development Hub partnership opportunities by forming and managing a research impact and partnership accelerator network; » Effectively promote the Global Development Hub's interests externally, to organisations including multi-lateral agencies, academic partners, policymakers, NGOs, development practitioners and other significant stakeholders; » Develop programmes of engagement for Imperial at significant international development community events; » Support and develop programmes that foster student and early career researcher exchanges with partner organisations to develop and advance collaborative approaches and practical solutions to global development challenges. Essential requirements » An undergraduatedegree preferably in science, medicine, business or engineering subject or significant equivalent qualification » Proven capability to work prosperously and positively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, from varying backgrounds and at varying levels of seniority » Possess credibility with senior and academic colleagues, and partner institutions » Excellent expertise of the international higher education landscape » Excellent written English and the capability to prepare high quality briefings and reports » Demonstrable expertise of the cultural, educational and political context for development-focused partnerships more information Candidates need to complete an online application.
