Job Opportunity: Research Associate:Job description:Job location: Manchester Job reference: HUM-025455 income: £36,024 to £44,263 per annum depending on practice Faculty/Organisational Unit: Humanities Job location: Manchester Job employment Type: Fixed Term Division/Team: Productivity Institute Hours Per Week: Full Time (1 FTE) Closing date: 10/05/2024 Contract Duration: Fixed Term for 24 Months School/Directorate: Alliance Manchester Business School The Productivity Institute (TPI) at the Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate undertake an economic and business landscape analysis on the impact of the rise in Artificial Intelligence on productivity, business models and regulatory frameworks. The position is located at The Productivity Institute's headquarters at the Alliance Manchester Business School, and supports the Institute's participation in the UKRI-funded Responsible AI (RAI) project, titled Responsible & Trustworthy Economic Landscape analysis (April 2024-March 2025). This project is run from the University of Cambridge, involving amongst other Professors Diane Coyle and Adrian Weller, and King's College London. The position is also meant to contribute to the development of a joint research programme on AI, Digital Transformation and Productivity at the Alliance Manchester Business School between various centres and institutes at AMBS involved with digital and AI-related research, includingThe Productivity Institute, theDecision and Cognitive Sciences Research Centre, theManchester Institute of Innovation Research, and theDigital Transformation Research Group. The PDRA will report toThe Productivity InstituteManaging Director, Professor Bart van Ark, and will be accountable to an Academic Advisory Group consisting of Professors Nadia Papamichail and Richard Allmendinger (Decision and Cognitive Sciences Research Centre), Panos Constantinides (Digital Transformation Research Group), Philip Shapira (Manchester Institute of Innovation Research), Nikolay Mehandjiev (Data Visualisation Observatory) and Markos Zachariadis (Centre for Financial Technology (FinTech) Studies).
