About the function
As part of the growth of the Department of Engineering, We are pursuing candidates with research and/or practice in signal processing, particularly for audio and immersive audio technology.
The function requires the enthusiasm and commitment to contribute to the continued success of our distinctive approach to education which combines traditional teaching methods with modern, project-located learning, catering for the needs of our students and the industries in which they will work.
The function holder will also be expected to develop a distinct research profile that will advance and elevate the research in the Department and at King's. Contribution to administration and citizenship through departmental and/or faculty functions and support of student practice and outreach is a key part of ensuring the success of the Department, Faculty, and students.
This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract About you
To be prosperous in this function, We are seeking for candidates to have the following expertise and practice:
Essential criteria
   » PhD in electronicengineering or significant science/engineering subject
   » capability to define and lead a research area anda growing research record as evidenced byresearch outputs
   » Potential to attract external research fundsand a desire and vision to advance research
   » capability to develop and teach undergraduateand postgraduate modules in engineeringand supervise student individual and groupprojects
   » capability to supervise postgraduate students and/or practice in or directing an individual/team research project or program of work at an international standard
   » Excellent oral and written communicationexpertise, including presentation expertise
   » capability to manage and interact with staff and students at all levels and to make asignificant contribution to administrativework
   » capability and availability to work effectively onpersonal initiative as well as in a team?and tomeet deadlines
