Job Offer: Personal Achievement Tutor:Job description:Job location: Bedford We are currently seeking aPersonal Achievement Tutor to join The Bedford College Group at our Bedford Campus. As aPersonal Achievement Tutor you play an important function in the success of our students through: » Supporting students through delivering tutorial support and professional expertise development to help them stay on-programme and to achieve their potential moving on to positive destinations such as higher education, apprenticeships or employment » Supporting students within allocated caseload in specific vocational/academic areas by providing group and one-to-one support as well as delivering weekly group tutorial sessions in areas such as safeguarding, resilience, health and well-being, life expertise, British Values, e-Safety, careers and employcapability, as well as preparation for further study including higher education » Providing pastoral support to students in allocated caseload to ensure attendance and punctuality, retention, attainment, achievement and progression, identifying ?at risk' students and provide appropriate intervention/support to raise standards and maintain high expectations Ideal candidates will have practice of working in a further education or related setting, alongside the following qualifications: » Good all-round education to include qualifications at Level 3 » Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent » PTLLS or availability to gain within a specified period » availability to work towards Level 2 Safeguarding and Youth Mental Health First Aid qualification prosperous candidates must also be able to demonstrate alignment to our organisational VISION values: »Valuing Teamwork - We are one team who by working together can achieve great things, respecting the opinion and valuing the contribution each of us makes. »Improving Continuously - We challenge ourselves to always do better by trying new things, sharing expertise, reflecting on practice and learning from others. »Student Centred - At our heart is always doing what is best for our students. About The Bedford College Group The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
