The Faculty of Law has an exciting opportunity with a new function for an Events Manager. this function has been created to support the faculty's demand for events support. We are seeking for a highly motivated individual who has practice in events management. The postholder will manage a range of events both internal and external to the faculty including high profile and regular academic and student events. The postholder will report to our Executive adjunct to the Dean and Events Co-ordinator. They will work closely with various Course Administrators and academic/Faculty agent leads for events.
The Events Manager will have excellent organizational expertise and able to prioritise a range of tasks simultaneously; they'll be able to collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders and effectively organise, train and manage temporary assistance; excellent communication expertise are essential, both written and oral with a wide variety of individuals; they'll have a sound knowledge of financial planning, reporting, budgeting and budget management; capability to find creative solutions to problems; availability and availcapability to work flexibly, including outside normal office hours, and to travel to events outside Oxford if required. practice of risk management, project management and Drupal content management would be desirable as well.
The function is full time and permanent. The Faculty of Law supports flexible remote working; at present staff are required to work on site for at least 40% of their time, however, flexible working arrangements are negotiable with the Line Manager due to the nature of this function.
