The function Fixed term maternityleave cover As Senior Teaching Fellow in Dietetics you will undertake teaching and course coordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning practice. Senior Teaching Fellows lead on aspects of the student learning practice including the leadership abilities of staff teams. tasks include: » Lead the curation, adaptation, design and development of module and course teaching materials. » Undertake on a key leadership abilities function of either course director, admissions tutor or placements lead andLead teams of teaching staff. » Ensure that students have an effective learning practice by providing high quality academic guidance and advice and by enhancing their retention/progression and employcapability. Qualifications Required » Currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a dietitian » Master's degree in an appropriate subject, or if a registered dietitian, a good honours degree and current HCPC registration as a dietitian » A teaching qualification or broad practice of delivering professional and/or university education, including supporting students » PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous Our prosperous Candidate You will have demonstrable practice of prosperous teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in dietetics with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.An practiced team leader with good level of digital fluency, you will have practice using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE. Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have practice in the development and enhancement of an ?active learning' pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
