The School of Biological and Marine Science, Faculty of Science and Engineering, is looking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated lecturer in biology to assist with a range of teaching and assessment activities in our Foundation Year Programmes. We are seeking for a biologist with practice in teaching at college (FE) or foundation year (HE) level. This is an exciting chance to be part of a progressive and cutting-edge University in a beautiful location, where you can really make a difference. The function will include tutorials, field work exercises, practical classes, project supervision, as well as lecture delivery and coursework marking. As a member of our academic community, you'll be expected to contribute to our recognised research strengths. You will have a PhD in Biology (or a related field), with skills in pedagogy, and practice of teaching at undergraduate level. You will also have a track record of prosperous research. As a lecturer at University of Plymouth, you will be expected to support outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, scholarship and expertise transfer and provide academic support to students, within a clear and established programme and under a system of academic supervision/support.
