Two positions available.
The research associate will support the deliverables for European food chain supply to reduce GHG emissions by 2050 (ENOUGH) project and Zero Emission Cold Chain (ZECC) project.
function Summary
The research associate will support the project team in data collection and analysis, as well as writing up reports and papers.
Main tasks
   » Help with data collection and analysis on energy, cooling and emissions of food supply chain in the UK and EU.
   » Analyse research data as directed.
   » Present research outputs, including drafting academic publications or parts thereof, for example at seminars and as posters.
   » Develop or adapt techniques, models and methods.
   » Provide guidance as required to support staff and any students who may be assisting with research.
   » Deal with problems that may affect the achievement of research objectives and deadlines.
   » Carry out administrative tasks related directly to the delivery of the research.
   » Help develop business models for decarbonising the food supply chains.
   » Help with data collection and analysis on public perception related to food sustaincapability.
   » Attend project meetings and workshops when needed.
Person Specification
   » A post-graduate degree related to climate change or sustaincapability.
   » Excellent writing expertise, communication and presentation expertise.
   » Practical practice of applying the significant expertise and techniques.
   » capability to analyse information and communicate effectively.
   » Team work and motivated to work independently.
   » Time management to meet project deadlines.
   » expertise of the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010, and how to actively
   » ensure in day to day activity in own area that those with protected characteristics are treated equally and fairly.
