About the function Working under the direction of the MBBS Senior leadership abilities Team, and alongside key academic and professional services colleagues, the post holder will use their practice and skills for the purpose of supporting curriculum design and development across the Medicine degree. The post-holder will be expected to work collaboratively to review, revise and maintain existing teaching materials and to also develop new innovative teaching methods, including online learning materials. They will be working alongside lecturers to develop good teaching practice in the classroom and within the clinical workplace, and supporting the use of the UCLMS Curriculum Map to focus on intended learning results and the GMCs results for Graduates (2018). Clinical Lecturers play an integral part of the day-to-day running of UCLs MBBS programme, which includes supporting prospective students in their wish to study medicine. The post holder will be involved in pre-admission activities such as Open Days and Widening Participation events, as well as organising and running admissions interviews. Appointment details: » The post is graded on CL8, the annual income for which ranges from £48,637 to £55,336 per annum. » The appointment is available asap at 0.6 FTE and as a fixed term contract (maternity cover until the substantive post holder returns). About you The post holder will have a primary medical qualification and full GMC registration. As well as the proven capability and commitment to teach in clinical and non-clinical settings. It is essential for the post holder to have an knowledge of pedagogy and scholarship as it relates to medical education.
