You will have the opportunity to engage with diverse students across Further and Higher Education courses, delivering impactful lectures and tutorials that ignite their passion for the ever-evolving world of technology. You will also play a key function in fostering a positive learning environment, providing academic guidance and support to guide students towards achieving their full potential. We are seeking for an individual who thrives in a collaborative setting. You will work closely with colleagues to enhance the overall learning practice, utilizing innovative teaching methods and keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends. Your passion for technology, strong communication skills, and commitment to student success will be essential in this function. As a LecturerinComputing you should: » Hold a degree in Computing / IT (or other related discipline) » Ideally have practice of working in a Higher Education environment, specifically in a teaching capacity » Be able to work and teach with 16-18-year-olds, across a variety of computing subjects » Ideally have practice of teaching Computing / IT or similar FE / HE qualifications The ideal candidate will have strong skills in some or all of the following areas: » Advanced programming: practice with a variety of programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Java, or C++. » Cyber security and forensics: Knowledge of security threats and how to protect systems from attack. » Emerging technologies: Interest in and knowledge of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics. » Database and back-end development: practice with database design and development, as well as back-end programming. » Software engineering: Strong knowledge of software development principles and practices. » AI & Machine Learning: practice with artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. » Distributed systems: practice with distributed systems and how to build scalable and reliable applications. » Software Development for Mobile Apps: practice with developing mobile apps. » Big Data Analytics: practice with big data analytics techniques.
