In this dynamic function, you will play a crucial function in shaping the minds of the next generation of tech leaders. You will have the opportunity to engage with diverse students across Further and Higher Education courses, delivering impactful lectures and tutorials that ignite their passion for the ever-evolving world of technology.
Your skills will be invaluable as you contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality curriculum materials, ensuring they remain significant and engaging for students of all learning styles. You will also play a key function in fostering a positive learning environment, providing academic guidance and support to guide students towards achieving their full potential.
We are seeking for an individual who thrives in a collaborative setting. You will work closely with colleagues to enhance the overall learning practice, utilizing innovative teaching methods and keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends. Your passion for technology, strong communication skills, and commitment to student success will be essential in this function.
As a LecturerinComputing you should:
   » Hold a degree in Computing / IT (or other related discipline)
   » Ideally have practice of working in a Higher Education environment, specifically in a teaching capacity
   » Be able to work and teach with 16-18-year-olds, across a variety of computing subjects
   » Ideally have practice of teaching Computing / IT or similar FE / HE qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in some or all of the following areas:
   » Advanced programming: practice with a variety of programming languages and frameworks, such as Python, Java, or C++.
   » Cyber security and forensics: Knowledge of security threats and how to protect systems from attack.
   » Emerging technologies: Interest in and knowledge of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics.
   » Database and back-end development: practice with database design and development, as well as back-end programming.
   » Software engineering: Strong knowledge of software development principles and practices.
   » AI & Machine Learning: practice with artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques.
   » Distributed systems: practice with distributed systems and how to build scalable and reliable applications.
   » Software Development for Mobile Apps: practice with developing mobile apps.
   » Big Data Analytics: practice with big data analytics techniques.
