The function: As the Principal Investigator for the Elephant Collective Behaviour Project, you will spearhead research initiatives using cutting-edge video analysis tools to study elephant group dynamics. This position involves working closely with our Long-Term Monitoring Team, skilled Drone Pilots, and a network of global researchers to deliver impactful scientific insights. Responsibilities: » Develop and implement detailed work programs for the project. » Manage field data collection, storage, and analysis in collaboration with our scientific and field teams. » Provide regular updates and communicate findings through high-impact, peer-reviewed publications. » Lead a diverse team, fostering an environment of creativity and rigorous scientific inquiry. Who You Are: » You hold a PhD or Master's degree in Behavioural Science or a related field. » You have practice with video-located research and/or machine learning. » Your academic career includes a track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals. » You are adept at managing complex projects and can thrive under challenging field conditions.
