It is anticipated that a hybridworking pattern can be adopted for this function, where the prosperous candidate can work in the house and the office. However, as this function is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. The function The Open University is recruiting an Immigration Manager to be located in People Services, who will take ownership of the OU's immigration policies and procedures, ensuring the university complies with UKVI immigration rules to meet internal and external audit requirements. As an Immigration Manager, you will lead a small, dedicated team of Immigration professionals, provide accurate advice across the University on the University's immigration policies and UKVI guidance, with broad knowledge in the variety of visas available. This will entail training and updating staff across the university in any changes made to procedures and UKVI rules, and guarantying Right to Work checks are compliant with government legislation. Skills and practice this function will suit you if you: » Possess broad technical immigration practice with a robust knowledge and proven record of Right to Work and Visa application management. » Are a confident, practiced manager, able to lead and inspire a team to excel on a everyday basis. » Possess strong communication skills, able to deliver training and workshops to a variety of audiences.
