DMU's dedicated facilities are designed to replicate current practice and feature industry-standard equipment, enabling staff and students to undertake life changing projects to improve health and social care. function We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biological/Cognitive Psychology in the Division of Psychology. The function will include both teaching and research tasks to students on undergraduate and postgraduate on British Psychological Society Accredited undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes. Typically, your teaching tasks will include preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars, supervision of final year projects, contributing to the personal tutoring scheme, and the devising and marking of assessments. You will be required to contribute to the teaching of research methods to our students. There will be opportunities to become involved in a variety of existing research projects. You will be expected to be research active in psychology. Ideal Candidate You will hold a PhD in psychology (or close to completion). We are seeking for you to have skills in biological/cognitive psychology. You will be familiar with delivering teaching and learning within higher education or academic-level delivery within commercial settings. You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the capability to communicate effectively with all members of the University community. You will share DMU's passion to provide outstanding and inclusive results for all of its students. This is a maternity cover post for up to 12 months, or upon the return of the post-holder, whichever is sooner.
