In this NEW exciting function of Teaching adjunct (ESOL) you will predominantly be located at our Waterfront and Springfield Campuses, whereyou will be working with students whose primary language is not English in their language-learning journey. This is an ideal stepping stone into teaching for those who aspire to progress or are already on that journey.
Your key responsibilities will be planning, preparing and delivering learning activities both within the classroom and outside of the academic learning environment with some support from tutors. You will be key in identifying individual SEND needs through initial assessments and completing inclusion plans for others to follow.
Ideally you will hold a Teaching adjunct qualification or be willing to work towards one and have previous practice of working in a post 16 environment with adult ESOL students. It is important that you're able to communicate effectively, encourage high aspirations, be able to manage change and work with other areas of the college to work towards a whole college SEND approach and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your function.
You will need to flexible around our 52-week curriculum delivery: day time 8.30-17.00 and some evenings 17.00-20.30.
