Job Opportunity: Clinical Trial Manager:Job description:Job location: London Job location: St Mary's Hospital and White City campus Job Summary This post will be located within the Department of Surgery and Cancer with the Imperial Vascular Unit at St Mary's Hospital and at the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU) located in White City. The opportunity has arisen to work with the Imperial Vascular Unit to deliver a long-term study to execute a multicentre randomised controlled trial in patients with uncomplicated type B aortic dissection, to answer the question whether thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) in the subacutephase in addition to best medical therapy is beneficial compared to best medical therapy alone. The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of trial management, including close liaison with the Chief Investigator and Principal Investigators at other centres, management of the connected study and implementing and adapting established ICTU systems to ensure the trial is developed and conducted to the highest scientific and regulatory standards. Essential requirements A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in biomedical/scientific field or related field and proven clinical trial/project management and monitoring practice gained in multi-centre, randomised trials is essential. The post holder will need to show strong leadership abilities and motivational expertise as well as effective communication, organisational and time management expertise. more information This full-time post is available from July 2024 and is offered for 2 years in the first instance.
