About the functionThe Materials Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator works closely with, customers and suppliers to lead the improvement, development, planning and implementation of materials best practices and projects. Using project management skills and methodologies, the Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator identifies, documents, investigates, tracks, resolves and continuously improves all processes within regards to plant layout, PFEP, and all material conveyance related issues. Your Responsibilities» Prepare and maintain Plan For Every Part for all current and new programs located on run standards and customer volumes » Ensure that PFEP is designed to maximize space utilization and minimize material movement » Continuously update the Material Flow Plan, Plant Layout and PFEP to ensure that space utilization is maximized and wasted movement and space are eliminated » Develop and maintain standard work / routings for all material conveyance » Develop and maintain a Dock Utilization Plan for all facilities » Prepare and review Value Stream Maps » Participate in CTPAT audits along with the Logistics Coordinator and Materials Area Leaders » Actively participate in new program launces » Help monitor and implement Engineering Changes and Bank Builds » Required to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in conformity with the OHSA. Follows and ensures the Company's procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed all over their assigned area. Who We are seeking for» Post secondary education in Materials/Supply Chain Management, Material Conveyance/Lean, or equivalent combination of education and related work practice. » A minimum of 2 yrs practice in a Planning or Layout / Material Flow related function required » Must be expertiseable and have practice with Microsoft Office and CAD. » Must have strong organizational, leadership abilities, interpersonal and problem solving skills. » Must be familiar with manufacturing processes and regulations Your preferred qualifications» expertise and practice in project management and leadership abilities » Physically able to execute the essential tasks of the position. » expertise of Lean Principles, Value Stream and Layout Design Accommodations for disabilities in relation to the job selection process are available upon request.
