We are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Admissions agent to join our Admissions team at Bath Spa University
About the function
As Senior Admissions agent, you will be reporting to the Admissions Coordinator (Partnerships), but under the general guidance of the Head of Admissions and Applicant Support. You will be responsible for a range of functions relating to Admissions for various University programmes of study primarily delivered at our partner institutions. Within your function you will be Assume the responsibility proactively managing all aspects of the admissions process for a portfolio of programmes, including monitoring recruitment targets, arranging visits and interviews, assessing qualifications, making decisions on student applications, and communicating with candidates and other stakeholders. You will be assisting with the update and maintenance of applicant and student records and working with the Admissions Co-ordinators to ensure that the SITS student record system is maintained and is fit for purpose.In addition, you will be acting as a point of escalation for complex queries and to mentor less senior admissions agents and you will contribute to all major Academic Planning activities and events including open days, clearing, registration, examinations & assessments and graduation, working effectively with colleagues from across the University.

You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal expertise, coupled with a strong commitment to customer service and confidentiality. You will be adept at relating to individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating a supportive and non-judgmental demeanour. As a key part of the team, you will pay strong attention to detail, have excellent organisational expertise, with the capability to prioritise tasks effectively. Flexibility, adaptcapability, and a positive attitude are essential, along with tactful and diplomatic communication. ADDITIONAL INFO
Although located primarily at home and at Newton Park, work at other sites may be required.
Some out of hours working will be occasionally required, including some evenings and specific weekends during the academic year (Graduation, Registration, Confirmation & Clearing).
Opportunities for taking annual leave during the months of August and September will be limited, and leave at other times will need to be assessed across the team so that service provision is not impacted.
