Job Opportunity: Senior Project Manager (New Programme Development):Job description:Job location: Milton Keynes Closing Date: 17th May 2024 - 12:00 Interview date: W/C 03/06/2024 It is anticipated that a hybridworking pattern can be adopted for this function, where the prosperous candidate can work in the house and the office. However, as this function is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. We'd expect this to be once or twice per week and ad hoc as required. The function The Open University is recruiting a Senior Project Manager (New Programme Development). As a well established provider of apprenticeships we have strong growth ambitions backed by investment to expand and innovate our apprenticeship portfolio. This exciting function is pivotal to realising these ambitions. The post holder will be a key member of the Apprenticeship Products Team and will be responsible for working with Units across the University to ensure the launch and maintenance of Apprenticeship Products in a timely way and the operational and regulatory requirements of Apprenticeship provision are met. The function will require a collaborative and creative mindset to support the team in realising the ambitions of the OU Apprenticeship Strategy to achieve supported and lasting change in the way the OU approaches apprenticeship product governance, development, launch and maintenance. expertise and practice summary » A resilient leader with the capability to create and manage high-performing teams without formal management authority to deliver outstanding results. Who thinks strategically and proactively identify and resolve complex problems and issues. » Able to evidence broad practice of complex stakeholder engagement, building relationships, influencing and negotiating at all levels, in a challenging and dynamic environment. » Demonstrates the following qualities: creative and resourceful self-starter with business vision and acumen supported by excellent planning and prioritising capabilities, and the capability to cope with multiple demands effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment. » A strong consciousness of the wider HE apprenticeships landscape including rules, regulations, policy and compliance (e.g. current Ofsted Framework (EIF) and ESFA funding rules). » practice of designing curriculum programmes and evidence of guiding and influencing curriculum teams on development of new programmes in partnership with a variety of stakeholders.
