About the function
We are recruitinga highly motivated and ambitiousProgramme Manager who can manage T-Level and Adult Education courses within our Digital and IT department. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a background inDigital and IT education and would like to move into a management function. We are keen to speak to anyone who is interested in progressing within their career whocan work with us to grow our provision in line with the needs of the West Yorkshire economic region.
Further Education is a significant aspect of the mission of Leeds City College. The College is a national provider of education, expertise, training and employcapability opportunities and has developed broad provision which is up-to-date and in line with both educational and industry standards.
Provision is developed and delivered at the Printworks campus of Leeds City College where over 1900 students currently studying a range of courses. The curriculum offered is vocationally focused in both Information Technology and Computer Science, and diverse in nature.
Our curriculum portfolio comprises of a range of courses for 16 - 19 year old's, ranging from Level 1 to Level 3, T-Level courses in both Digital Support Service and Digital Design and Production. Vocational courses for adults are also offered as part of the curriculum to support career development and upskilling. Apprenticeships are also available for people of all ages whether it be a career change or career progression.
What You Will Do
   » Manage activities and strategies to ensure the success of the Digital and IT Department.
   » Line management of staff, setting targets and managing performance
   » Manage Strategies to ensurehigh retention, achievement, success and attendance rates for identified courses are reached.
   » Deliver and assess essential knowledge and knowledge to learners 10 -12 hours per week.
   » Manage the planning, preparation and development of schemes of work, teaching and learning resources and assessment plans.
   » Manage the recording of student progress andensure that individual and group learner targets are being met.
   » Manage employer informed curriculums through contact, influence and development to meet the T-Level and Adult Education priorities.
